Course Description

This course assesses the knowledge and skills to respond to hazardous materials incidents, including detecting the presence of hazardous substances and chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosives (CBRNE), consulting references for additional information, and implementing work practices that will minimize the possibility of contamination.

Hazardous Materials Awareness

Hazardous Materials Operations - Theory

Must be an active member of the Manitoba Fire Service

Working knowledge of PPE and respiratory protection as per AHJ
